SUNA Annual Meeting Thurs May 22 St. Matthew Church, Philo Rd. 7-8:30 pm
The Annual meeting of the Southeast Urbana Neighborhood Association is being held on Thursday May 22 starting at 7pm at the St. Matthew Church on Philo Rd. There will be a short business meeting where you will be asked to vote on new bylaws (bylaws available on the website here). To save time, please review them ahead of the meeting.
There will be remarks from Mayor Williams, Police Chief Boone, and Fire Chief Dade. After their remarks they will be available to address any questions you have along with representatives from city departments (Community Development, Public Works), the Urbana Free Library, the Park District, and Yankee Ridge Multilanguage School.
We encourage you to consider joining SUNA with your $5 yearly membership fee payable at the meeting to support our efforts to:
- Maintain safe attractive neighborhoods that provide a welcoming environment to all residents.
- Monitor and actively participate in the growth and development of southeast Urbana in a manner that is sensitive to natural areas and surrounding neighborhoods.
- Foster a spirit of community and cooperation among residents and businesses of southeast Urbana.
- Communicate with SUNA neighbors regarding city issues.
All SUNA funds are used to pay for meeting signs, space rental and the SUNA website.
