Urbana Primary Election, February 23, 2021
Because no Republican candidates are running, the primary election determines the final winners. All of these positions include more than one candidate. Registered and eligible voters can vote in the Urbana primary. Voting options are:

Yankee Ridge Open House
The Yankee Ridge students, families, staff, and community will celebrate on Saturday, September 22 at the Yankee Ridge Elementary Community Open House from 3:00pm to 4:00pm. At 3:45pm, a portrait that was painted of Mrs. Dorothy Vickers-Shelley by local artist Jason Patterson and donated by YR alumni and local businessman Seth Fein will be dedicated in the Yankee Ridge library. At 4:00pm, the Gymnasium will be dedicated to Yankee Ridge Alumni and Olympian Nancy Thies Marshall |
Urbana First Fridays!
In July, First Fridays will have a street fest! Griggs Street will be closed near the Boneyard Creek for the event. Lean about different organizations within the Urbana community starting at 5:30 p.m., play with chalk and make giant bubbles with Arcadia - A Lumen Café from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and get your face-or hair-painted at H2O Salon. |

Free Bicycle Give Away
The Urbana Police Department will be offering bicycles free of charge to citizens of Champaign-Urbana and surrounding areas. This event will take place on Wednesday, April 25, from 10 am-Noon at 202 S Vine Street, Urbana Illinois (Old Good Year building). The Urbana Police ask that each citizen be limited to one bicycle. The bicycles will be offered as is condition to interestedparties. For more information, please contact Lt. 9th Annual C-U Folk & Roots Festival, Urbana, IL
The 9th Annual C-U Folk & Roots Festival will be held November 2-4, 2017. It's a great opportunity to hear a variety of "folk & roots" music -- blues, celtic, old time, bluegrass, folk, and cajun. Thursday evening's event takes place at Krannert. The other festival events take place in venues in downtown Urbana. Check out http://folkandroots.org/ for details. |
