The Southeast Urbana Neighborhood Association (SUNA) is a non-partisan community based organization that works to:

•Maintain safe attractive neighborhoods which provide a welcoming environment to all residents

•Support the renewal of the Philo Road business corridor

•Monitor and actively participate in the growth and development of  southeast Urbana in a manner that is sensitive to natural areas and surrounding neighborhoods

•Foster a spirit of community and cooperation among residents and businesses of southeast Urbana

Join the Urbana Park District, your community, and a variety of talented yoga instructors as we take to beautiful Meadowbrook Park for yoga in the open-air. All ages and abilities are welcome to join us as we gather to celebrate movement and breath under our beautiful prairie skies.   • 40th Annual Strawberry Jam festival Join us for this free family event at Meadowbrook Park, Race Street entrance, on Saturday, June 17 from 4pm to sunset. Overflow parking at Stone Creek Church. Bring a picnic dinner and a blanket or lawn chair for a good old-fashioned fun time. Enjoy musical performances and taste fresh strawberries over ice cream (while supplies last). 4-5pm Wildwood String Band, 5:30-6:30pm Bashful Youngens, 7-8pm Big Bluestem.

  • Adopt Urbana clean-up of Colorado Avenue  Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 8:30 am is the date set for the Adopt Urbana clean-up of Colorado Avenue between Philo Rd. and Anderson St. We will meet in the parking lot of the Dollar Store, which is on the north side of Colorado across from County Market. Gloves, safety vests, garbage bags and garbage tongs will be provided. This should take no more than 45 min.  If you can help out, please email  thmichelson@gmail.com
