The Southeast Urbana Neighborhood Association (SUNA) is a non-partisan community based organization that works to:

•Maintain safe attractive neighborhoods which provide a welcoming environment to all residents

•Support the renewal of the Philo Road business corridor

•Monitor and actively participate in the growth and development of  southeast Urbana in a manner that is sensitive to natural areas and surrounding neighborhoods

•Foster a spirit of community and cooperation among residents and businesses of southeast Urbana

  • Tree Planting Celebration on Arbor Day Join community members at a Tree Planting Celebration on Arbor Day,  Friday, April 27th at 2-3pm, in the parkway of 105 Meadow Dr.  Dr. Holly Rosencranz, Warren Lavey, and the Rotary Club of Urbana teamed up to provide $10,200, 85 new trees, to the community through the Urbana Cooperative Tree Planting Program.

  • Free Bicycle Give Away The Urbana Police Department will be offering bicycles free of charge to citizens of Champaign-Urbana and surrounding areas. This event will take place on Wednesday, April 25, from 10 am-Noon at 202 S Vine Street, Urbana Illinois (Old Good Year building). The Urbana Police ask that each citizen be limited to one bicycle. The bicycles will be offered as is condition to interestedparties.For more information, please contact Lt.   • 9th Annual C-U Folk & Roots Festival, Urbana, IL The 9th Annual C-U Folk & Roots Festival will be held November 2-4, 2017. It's a great opportunity to hear a variety of "folk & roots" music -- blues, celtic, old time, bluegrass, folk, and cajun. Thursday evening's event takes place at Krannert. The other festival events take place in venues in downtown Urbana.  Check out for details.

  • 40th Annual Strawberry Jam festival Join us for this free family event at Meadowbrook Park, Race Street entrance, on Saturday, June 17 from 4pm to sunset. Overflow parking at Stone Creek Church. Bring a picnic dinner and a blanket or lawn chair for a good old-fashioned fun time.
